Chicken Fried Chicken Ingredients 6-8 thin sliced chicken breasts 2 cups flour 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 1 1/2 cups buttermilk (whole milk add 2 TBS lemon juice) 1 egg 1 TBS hot sauce oil for frying Gravy 1/4 cup oil from frying 1/3 cup flour 2 cups milk Salt & Pepper Instructions 1. Heat about 1 inch oil to 325 degrees 2. In a large bowel wisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, pepper, & garlic powder 3. In another bowel mix buttermilk, egg, & hot sauce 4. Dredge chicken in flour mix, then dip in egg/milk batter, then back in flour mix. Pree in to completly cover chicken 5. Place chicken in hot oil and cook for 3-5 until golden brown, flip once for another 3-5 minutes. Remove to paper towel plate to drain 6. GRAVY, take 1/4 oil from the fryer and heat on medium heat, stir in flour until absorbed and cook about 1 minute 7. Slowly add milk stiring constantly. 8. Add salt and pepper to taste.
